I’m a novelist, short story writer, essayist, poet, and creative consultant. I try to bring my lifelong passion for the creative process, as well as my quest for excellence, to every project and every page of writing I take on.

I enjoy writing personal essays, and the occasional review. I post my essays and reviews on this site. I hope you’ll check in periodically for new posts.

I live in Los Angeles but I’m a Midwesterner by birth. I grew up in a small town, and most of my fiction is set in small midwestern towns. Childhood impressions run deep.

While writing fiction, I’ve earned my living in marketing and creative services, including creative director for a global consulting and technology services company. I’ve always enjoyed researching and honing in on the technology scene. It’s the creative process at warp speed!

I have a Master of Arts degree in English Literature, postgraduate credits in creative writing, and have taught English at the college level.

I also have a yoga life, and am still enthralled by the philosophy that B.K.S. Iyengar describes as “a poise of the soul.”
